A memoir/legacy project preserving the life stories of my aunt, De.
A book showcasing artist Vincent Amicosante's 20-year Erotic Fruit series. Rather than serving simply as a catalog of artwork and descriptions, my accompanying text tells the story behind the work and the artist who created it.
An excerpt from Erotic Fruit is available on this website.
Profiles, features, interviews, arts writing, essays, and other nonfiction.
Book-length projects developed through interviews, research, personal stories, and source material, helping people turn their experiences and ideas into finished manuscripts while preserving their individual voices.

I've spent much of my life asking questions, listening to people, and figuring out how to put what matters into words.
I'm a writer, author, artist, and teacher. I write profiles and features, books and personal stories, press releases and exhibition materials. I work with artists who need words for their work and with people who have a story they want to tell but aren't quite sure how to tell it.
And I take on projects both small and large.
Maybe you're an artist who needs a compelling description of one painting for your website.
Maybe you have a show coming up and need a press release, artist statement, or exhibition text.
Maybe you've been meaning to get Grandma's stories down on paper while you still can.
Maybe people have been telling you for twenty years:
"You should write a book."
Maybe you should.
I can help.
My job isn't to make you sound like me. It's to ask good questions, listen for the interesting parts, find the shape of the story, and help you tell it in a way that sounds like you.
Current professional and creative work includes memoir and legacy writing; ghostwriting and book development; profiles and feature writing; writing for artists, including individual artwork descriptions, press releases, biographies, artist statements, exhibition materials, catalogs, and books; writing and creativity workshops; original painting; crossword construction; and Mad Grief, a novel in progress.
